Its a nice gesture, this thing with the memorial order of service. Ive thought a moment about getting one because its nice to have one since I coundnt be there in person. But then I thought that nothing can bring Colin back from death, so why should I hold on to a peace of paper from his memorial? Hes with angels now, who will guide him further to whatever his next task will be. Holding on to him doesnt help Colin, doesnt help his family and certainly wont help me.
Besides, the way I look at life and death makes me feel that the soul cant die. So that Colin himself isnt really dead either, only his life on earth has ended when his body stopped living. His soul lives on, so Colin does to. Thats the way I believe it is. Its my truth and Im aware that whats true for me not necessarily is true for others.I respect that with the trust that others respect my views on the matter. And we always have Colins music, and our memories with it and the memory of the good man himself and that wonderful voice! Ill always love his voice.

What a lovely gesture. I couldn’t go to Liverpool unfortunately, so wanted to go to support Colin’s family and friends, but made donation. The Order of Service is a beautiful momento of a day that none of us would have wanted to happen. But it did. Nothing anybody can say can take the hurt away, but hope that the fact that Colin was so well thought of helps in some way. I have found that the normality of life pulls you through awful times.
I will always love Colin’s songs and amazing voice, we have that left to us.
