Dog Tail Soup on the road

Posted on Wed 30 May 07

For some time now I have been hanging out with and playing with some of the great musicians that pitch up in West Cork. One thing has led to another and become a little more serious; Dog Tail Soup has been born!

An original material group with a habit of dropping Mozart and Weill in as cover versions as much as Dobie Gray or the Doobie brothers, it tends to consist of Interference leading light Fergus O’Farrell, double Golden Globe nominee Maurice Seezer, extraordinary Swedish soprano (my wife!) Camilla Griehsel, and Cork born singer songwriter and multi instrumentalist Paul Tiernan

And guess what? We’re going on the road!

Yes, during July, I will be taken by my Dog Tail Soup buddies to Poland, Slovakia, and the Czech Republic for a short tour (as Black) appearing at:

17 – Krakow, Club Pod Jaszczurami, (Black & Dog Tail Soup)
18 – Poprad, Main Square (Black & Dog Tail Soup)
19 – Poprad, Main Square (Interference)

21 – Bombura in Brezno, (Black & Dog Tail Soup)
22 – Banska Stiavnica, Tea House (Paul Tiernan & Black)

24 – Bratislava, Courtyard of Old Town Hall (Black & Dog Tail Soup)
25 – Namest, (Black & Dog Tail Soup, Mark Geary, Interference)
26 – Ceske Budejovice, (Black & Dog Tail Soup)

It will be acoustic and (this time) drummerless but will feature young double bass rising star Darren McCarthy

Who knows, maybe we’ll see you somewhere ..?
