The proof of the pudding is in the eating so it is said.
So……..we were eaten and they went home hungry for more!
On a night of ferociously powerful full moon (and I KNOW scientists can find no link between full moon and behaviour THAT THEY CAN PROVE…………but I know what happens to ME!) on a day when all but one of us missed the radio show on the way up, the soundcheck degenerated into a fiasco of ever increasing technical problems and we realised quite how difficult it can be to have one of us in a wheelchair when there’s no dressing room or way onto the stage short of him driving THROUGH the audience and 4 or 5 of us lifting him onto stage chair and all………well, we triumphed!
Feedback has been astonishing and quite unlike the gig I recall playing. We were like 8 connected worlds gone beyond ego to the place of pure performance.
This is going to sound weird I know but sometimes it’s like this; without the aid of anything more stimulating than a pre-game pint you find you can DISAPPEAR onstage…..finish and walk off wondering what you just did!
What we ‘just did’ I’ve had to put together from the comments of those who were there and sought us out to talk afterwards. A good night and we look forward to the next….probably the first week in February. We have some ideas to make it even better ….can’t wait! A big thank you to owner Benny McCabe for having it happen and going way out of his way to be there.

Brings me to now.
I’d like to wish you all the best that xmas can bring and a new year you would choose. You are about to receive a wee present from us at Black HQ, I hope you enjoy it. Let’s continue in 2009 to choose a world we would like to live in…..in every way both great and small.
I mean it.
