Book of Celebration

We’re aware that some people could not make it to the memorial service in Liverpool. We set up this online book of celebration to give anyone a chance to share their memories of Colin and his music, along with any messages for the family.

We have now closed the Book of Celebration to new entries, but all previous entries remain below to view.

589 entries.

It was a real honour to take part in the celebration of Colin 's life at The Anglican Cathedral. I was amazed by the poise and strength of Colin's dad ( What a wonderful speech) and of Camilla and Max to sing so beautifully. The whole ceremony was a fitting tribute to Colin. Steve, Yoko and Kerry really did Colin proud.
What a gorgeous family Colin had. The love and bond was so clear and strong there last night. Max, Marius and Milan were so brave.
It was amazing to see old friends and reminisce and a lesson to keep in touch.
I want to send lots of love and light to all the family and Thank you to Colin for amazing music and an incredible experience and journey as a very young singer. It really was a blast.
Love Sara Jones aka Lamarra ( The Creamy Whirls)

Siempre me inspiraste gran ternura.

Forever COLIN

I remember 1986 as a young 21 year old lad leaving Scotland for Kent. Tuned into mtv and a group came on called black. So from 1986 I have always had a connection to black..

Very saddened to hear of calling passing away. Rip big guy. You made me a happy man with your words and music.
It is a wonderful life and you helped
